How's the Fishing?: 4/5
The Blackfoot fishing has been good lately as the cooler fall weather has moved in. The Blackfoot doesn’t see the amazing fall mayfly hatches like the Clark Fork and Bitterroot. This weeks cool down should bring a few of those fall mayflies, but the october caddis and hopper fishing remains good. The streamer fishing is getting better and better as October is one of the best months for streamer fishing. Fishing is better later in the day with the cooler night time temps.

How’s it going to be in a couple weeks
Fishing on the Blackfoot in October can be great with cooler water temps and decent hatches. Longer nights and cooler weather ahead should make for some great dry fly fishing and streamer fishing.
