How's the Fishing?: 4/5
Rock Creek has been good lately and should continue to get better and better with the cooler fall weather moving in. The fishing is now better later in the day with the cooler weather. We are seeing some more fall hatches with the cooler weather. While Rock Creek doesn’t offer a ton of fall mayfly hatches, there are some starting to kick around. Fish are still eating hoppers and we are starting to see good numbers of October Caddis. Streamer fishing is starting to improve as well.
What Hatches are Going?
Hopper, Ants and Beetles, Trico, BWO’s, Mahoganys October Caddis
What’s the weather like?
How’s it going to be in a couple weeks
Fishing on the Rock Creek in October can be great with cooler water temps and good hatches. Longer nights and cooler weather ahead should make for some great dry fly fishing and streamer fishing.
